The Logan Historical Society was established in several counties of southwestern Ohio. These two volumes appear to constitute the complete run of this early Ohio historical magazine. Although neither the volumes nor the individual monthly issues have tables of contents, each volume has a subject and name index at the back.

The Ohio Archaeological and Historical Quarterly was published under that name through Vol. 43. The name was then changed to the Ohio State Archaeological and Historical Quarterly for Vols. 44-63, after which the name was again changed, to The Ohio Historical Quarterly. After Vol. 70 the name became Ohio History. All volumes (1-113) are available at the same web site, maintained by the Ohio Historical Society.
