Maps of Great Britain – Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 Epoch 1
From the 1840s, the Ordnance Survey began mapping Britain at the scale of six inches to the mile (1:10,560). From 1854, cultivated and inhabited areas were mapped at the scale of 1:2,500 (25.344 inches to the mile). The complete 1:10,560 series is in the collection (Epoch 1).
